Daniel Garcia began Content Magazine in 2012 to feature the South Bay creatives that tended to be overlooked in the Bay Area Art Scene. These portraits are a collection of the artists who have been featured over the last eight years on the pages of Content. As the Cultivator of Content Magazine, Garcia seeks to reflect the diversity of the people of the South Bay and how their lives, work, and art affect our society.

A native of San Jose and the Bay Area, Daniel Garcia’s entrepreneur journey began as a fashion photographer in the 1980’s. After a decade of running his own photo business, he pivoted to non-profit work focusing on the spiritual formation of college students. Feeling a strong leading In an effort to bring his two passions together, photography and the emerging artistic community, he launched Content Magazine.
