The ICA San José will be paying tribute to Binh Danh as part of its fall Benefit and Art Auction on Saturday evening October 19, 2024. In advance of the event, the ICA will install a small retrospective of Danh’s, consisting of works from across several projects from the Chlorophyll-based organic pieces, to community-focused projects, Daguerreotype images, and the recent series of poignant portraits on decorative plates, recently showcased at FotoFest in Houston. Those works will be displayed, along with other auction works, with an opening event and Artists’ Mixer on Thursday evening September 26, where Binh will be in conversation with Ann Jastrab, Executive Director of the Center for Photographic Arts. TO RSVP for the opening event, please visit ICAuction Artist Mixer. The mini-retrospective will remain on display through February of 2025.
